Overview
Athens City Center consists of a variety of neighborhoods from trendy and up and coming areas to the historic neighborhoods found at the base of the Acropolis. Plaka, Psyri, Monastiraki, Syntagma, Thiseio, Koukaki, Kolonaki and Pangrati are just a few of the neighborhoods that we recommend exploring during your time in Athens.
The downtown area of Athens is quite walkable. For example you can walk from Syntagma Square to Monastiraki Square in approximately 8-10 minutes. From there, you can head up to the Acropolis Museum which takes approximately 15-20 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Most of the major archaeological sites are found here, along with the old town (Plaka) where many visitors like to stroll and shop after the sun goes down.
Staying in the city center gives you easy access to everything from ancient Greek ruins to modern shopping streets, delicious food and great nightlife all within a short walking distance from each other.

Yes, it is possible to book last minute airport transfers but please note that we cannot guarantee availability for all last minute inquiries. To ensure availability, please be sure to book your transfer at least 24-48 hours in advance of your arrival or departure.

The driver will be monitoring your flight number and will be awaiting your arrival with a sign with your name on it as soon as you exit baggage claim.
